The Church Cottages, Notgrove are a pair of interconnecting holiday cottages that offer the perfect choice for families, groups or couples who are looking to enjoy a stunning Cotswolds' location but would like to have a bit of extra space to spread out. These two attractive cottages, connected by an internal door, are beautifully presented and furnished providing ample space and accommodation for at least 8 people. As the cottages can also be rented separately, there are two of everything - kitchens, living rooms etc which therefore means that as a group or family you can always keep yourselves together or apart! Even still there is a large kitchen/diner in one cottage that will easily accommodate 8 people sitting together. There are four bedrooms upstairs with three bathrooms. Outside you have a private, enclosed garden with views that are simply outstanding - right across the privately owned Notgrove Estate. With walks across the land on private paths, a pub across the fields and a picture perfect location it is understandable why this is such a popular location for a holiday or break. There is ample storage space. Dining table can be extended to comfortably seat 8 people. There are additional facilities in a second kitchen, plus there is more storage space if required..Living Room One, with large sofa, plus additional armchairs, wood burning stove and large flatscreen TV and DVD player. There is also a window seat and table with lovely views across the gardens.Living Room Two, bigger and more spacious with two large sofas, wood burning stove, large flatscreen TV and DVD player. Upstairs (from one end!)Bedroom One with King size double bed (5ft), wardrobe and chest of drawers. This is a delightful room with some classic features and a lovely view. Bedroom Two has two single beds, which can easily be put together as a double bed. There is an Ensuite Shower Room with walk in shower, WC and washbasin.Bathroom Two with bath, shower over, WC and washbasinBedroom Three (accessed via alternative stairs at other end of the cottage) with King size double bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers.Bedroom Four with two single beds (can be zip and linked if required) plus chest and hanging space.Bathroom Three with bath, electric shower over, WC and washbasinOutsideThe property has an enclosed garden, which leads down towards the fields. There is a table and chairs for outside dining. What could be more typically English than the many charming towns and villages nestling in the Cotswolds? That’s what awaits you when you stay at one of our holiday lets in the Cotswolds. It’s the famous local honey-coloured stone that makes the buildings here, whether a tiny cottage or grand manor house, so distinctive and so appealing. Little has changed in many of the Cotswolds towns for more than 300 years, giving them a rare beauty in today’s world, and they are all within easy reach of our any of holiday lets or cottages in the Cotswolds.
Perhaps the most perfect Cotswolds town is Broadway, now a major centre for arts and antiques. Broadway is also well known for its tower, from which it is said you can see 14 counties. There’s also the beautifully preserved Chipping Campden, Bourton-on-the-Water, the “Little Venice” of the Cotswolds and Stow-on-the-Wold, perhaps the best-known of the smaller towns here. But there are countless other charming places to discover as you tour these gentle hills.
The market town of Cirencester, the “capital of the Cotswolds” boasts a very fine parish church as well as the Corinium Museum. This features a fascinating re-creation of life in Roman Britain.
